Humble but Hungry Community Service Scholarship Program

Humble but hungry is a non-profit organization that takes a holistic approach to advance the lives of those in need while enhancing the community. With a focus on scholarships, crisis intervention, life, and wellness. Humble but Hungry uses an unorthodox approach to meet the needs of those who fit outside the proverbial box.

In keeping with the mission statement, this year, Humble but Hungry is seeking to offer two (2) scholarships to individuals who meet the eligibility requirements listed below.

Eligibility: Applicants must:

  • Be a Class of 2023 high school graduate.

  • Have a permanent residence in New Castle County, Delaware.

  • • Must have been accepted and plan to attend an accredited and approved four-year institution in Fall 2023.

  • Demonstrate a dedication to community service.

  • Must have graduated from high school with a cumulative 2.75 GPA

  • Applicants must submit a transcript with the essay.

Essay:

  • In a short essay, describe how you have demonstrated leadership in your life. Tell us about the challenges you faced and how you overcame them.
    Minimum 500 words, typed, double-spaced, size 12 font, word document.

Award: Two (2) $500 scholarships, one-time awards
